Invitation: meet MENA environmental leaders, activists and innovators
The Green MENA meets The Netherlands gathering brings together environmental leaders, activists, funders, policymakers and innovators from the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) and the Netherlands. Over three days, participants will exchange experiences, explore shared challenges, and build collaborations around climate justice, sustainable land use, food systems, finance, and community-led solutions.
Het Grote Midden Oosten Platfrom is delighted to announce its upcoming programme From Common Ground To Collaboration – The Green MENA Meets the Netherlands.
We bring together a select group of professionals from Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and Tunisia. During a three-day program, we will build alliances and exchange experiences on the themes of
- food sovereignty
- pollution caused by a resource-extraction-based economy
Among the 15 participants are agroecological farmers, traditional seed savers, researchers, investigative journalists, NGO representatives, and activists against extraction of raw materials from the Iraqi marshes and Gabès in Tunisia.
